Yes, he is probably hiding from the heat. Thought, that's no excuse to not be present on the forum; you can do that in air conditioned comfort.
I'm test riding the 796 tomorrow afternoon, with intent to purchase unless I hate it.
Am I crazy?
To be thorough, I think I'm going to see if I ride an FZ09 and a Street Triple at one of the two Yamaha/Triumph dealers in the area.
On the chopping block to finance it and make room:
CBR400 (too similar to the VFR400 to keep both, also one of the most valuable bikes I have besides the V7R)
Guzzi Breva 1100, after the clutch is repaired; do I really have room in my life for 3 quirky Italian bikes? My VFR800 and R100S (when done) serve 2-up duty just fine. Even the F650GS works well for 2up with with my daughter. I'm not 100% sure about this yet. I'll see how much each bike gets ridden once it is back on the road.
R100S? Maybe. I can always find another. They're not that uncommon. Maybe I'd go for a Paralever R100R at some point.
CL450 -- almost ready for sale. I was planning to sell this one all along.
Vespa that I bought for my wife last fall? It's been a month since she finished school, and she has shown no interest in getting her permit (which she said she would). I paid $4k for it. That $4k would be nice toward the Duc.
Several other vintage Hondas (most of them, actually), are planned to be sold when done, this list is just the stuff I can sell in the short term. The only of my vintage Hondas that I plan on keeping long term are my VFR400R, '76 CB400F, and, maybe my '68 CL175 (sloper).
