I'm loving the M796.    Yes, I look at it and smile every chance I get.   I think that my wife is jealous.   She saw me looking at it in the garage last evening, and made some comment about a cot in the garage so that I can sleep with it. 

That S4RS tricolore is drop-dead gorgeous.   Of course, after I paid $500 extra to get the white bodywork, I see the red/white/black tricolore bodywork in the accessory catalog.    Of course, there are no prices in that catalog.   I don't want to know.    I need to get the image out of my head, because it will just cost me more money.   



This is a pic from the accessory catalog.    I suspect I may be getting one of these options at some point if I tire of the white.



145HP Monster -- you must be getting a Monster 1200S!

Personally, I don't need a 145 HP Monster.   I'm faithfully obeying the 6,000 RPM break-in limit (for < 1,000km/621 miles), so, even at that, I find myself riding too fast.   This bike is that fun.   I'm really going to have to learn some self-control when I'm allowed to use the meat of the power curve.

Yup, I smile when ever I walk into the garage. I believe you can go to Ducatiusa.com and see the different body work. There has been some drop dead gorgeous on the ducatimonster.org site. I hang there. Plenty of members ride the 796 and there are always great deals.

1200 Monster? Nope. Ducati is having a boat load of problems with that model. One members bike was replaced and Ducati is shipping his old one back to Italy. Plenty of reading on this. Bike just stalls on decal no matter what speed. Yeah, 80 mph, back off throttle, motor shuts off.

I buy used now. Cheaper. I will say this. 2007 model with 252 original miles. Serviced twice! To funny. Tank was coated when new so no worries on expansion.

They just got it in when I was at the open house. Feel in love. Well, with the girl too! She was a sweetheart, very nice lady. She's walking around in a tight bikini and I leave my camera in the car.  Was surprised that it came up for sale and got Ryan down $1800 off asking. Includes storing the bike and delivery. Private sale so no tax and bogus dealer shid.

I have this for sale if interested. I went with the Givi tank lock system.

Just about finished with the tail, new Dunlop Q3 on the rear, rear sets installed, Arrow full system with DB Killers, new chain, 14 T front sprocket, Oberon clutch slave, Rizoma sprocket cover, Rizoma belt covers, mirrors off a M796 and some bling.

Yeah, it's in there. Goes around the OEM cap then the mounting ring.

The clutch is nice and light.    It isn't a dry clutch like your S2R though, so, it doesn't have that Ducati clutch rattle.

I stand corrected.     I had assumed that they were early enough to still have a dry clutch.

I don't know why Ducati put all those ugly stickers on the otherwise beautiful trellis frame.   Heat gun + WD40 did the trick.   I also tied the tender cable more discretely.

78 the other day. Been a great August with Winter riding dead ahead. I want to do a road test but for the last three months the road has been torn up for flood control. It's just a mess. I don't want my new Q3 tires all dirty you know. 

The City sure takes it's sweet time doing something. What a joke.

I added frame sliders and a Givi Tanklock bag today.   Yes, the flat-bottomed bag looks strange up in the air over the back of the tank, but, it does the job.    I'll likely not be leaving it on when leaving the bike parked, so, it won't look stupid when parked.
