In another posting about carb troubles You asked the guy if his bike would rev up and choke out over 5k.  My buddies bike does this and it is bugging us, what would fix this condition. The bike is a '74 Honda 125 it idles fine and revs to about 4000 4500 rpms and then boggs down. the pipe dont doesnt smell gasssy so I don't think the mixture is the issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think you need to check the main jets.  At those sorts of revs, you should be switching from slow running to mains.

I had a CB125S - what a bike (rose tinted glasses here).  In retrospect I think my son's CG125 is probably a better bike...

Thanks for the tip. We will open the carbs up next week and give it a shot.
