CB350F original jets or not
« on: September 13, 2015, 10:31:28 PM »
My main jets are a little beat up around the edges, so I don't think I am the first one into the carbs.

I cannot find any markings on them.  Is it supposed to be around the top rim, or in the middle section?  The top rim is rough - probably someones pliers, and the middle of the jet (the widest area) appears to be a rough casting, not smooth brass.  I trierd a little polish.

The slow jets have what appears to be a white paint stamp of the Kiehin K star and 35, which would be stock size.  But I was looking at Jetrus.com and they show a stamped embossed like symbol.  https://jetsrus.com/FAQs/FAQ_genuine_jets.html

Not sure if I am overlooking it on the main, or because they are aftermarkets jets.

Jetsrus.com appear to have the stock jets if I need them.  Do people recommend them as a Good source or are there genuine Keihin jets availanble somewhere?

as long as the ID of the jet is intact, you're ok to run it.
The mains also need a good oring around them to create a good seal.
At least get a new (viton) oring here.

Jetsrus is the go-to for many of us here.
I've had great customer service and their jets are top notch.

I have only seen OEM jets with the K and number punched into the metal: this does not prove that yours are not genuine.
The main jets I have look like this, so using pliers could mangle the lettering I suppose.

And yes, 98 was way too big for the 466'd 400F. It's running 90s now.

Thanks guys.  I'm lokking into the viton o-rings.

The picture is great, at least now I know where to look, among the mangled edge of the jet.  ::)

Got the magnifying glass out (still in denial about my age, eyes not what they used to be  ::) )

I see a 75 on one, and parts of the number on the others, so looks like they are the right size at least!
