Harsh, while it would cost significantly more and you'd lose your preferred clubman look, it seems like it would be easier (better?) for you to dial the perfect angle for your wrists to go with some adjustable clip ons. I had similar injuries (skiing) which influenced my decision- I had no clue what angles would actually work for my wrists and many of the companies didn't have very confidence inspiring measurements, images or language so the adjustability of clip ons seemed and was the best for me. I thought about that, but since I already have a set of clubmans and a friend that welds why not cut and weld them how I want.  I have zero issues with the clipons on my Triumph so I thought that if I could basically match that angle it would work.
