Hi

Need expert advice on how to free the master cylinder piston / plunger which seems to have welded itself to the cylinder , please.
Have managed to remove the cir clip which itself was a nightmare. Tried boiling the assembly for an hour in water, but no luck. Don't want to try stron arm tactics in case I damage the alloy casting. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Saw Sullys garage video on this too

If it's really stuck in there some have had luck by fabricating a drilled bolt with a grease nipple & pumping it out with a grease gun.
If you want my 2 c worth, I'd toss it in the bin & buy one of these.

I understand that they take the original kit if in future years you need to rebuild it, you can.
I have one of these on mine & can vouch that it works a treat.
