750 fork tube lengths
« on: January 28, 2014, 02:32:53 pm »
I am in need of a replacement set of fork tubes for my build but my frankenbike has struck again. the bike is a 74 K4 but the fork lower legs are the long 77-78 K7-K8 style. I want the bike to be at stock ride height and stock steering geometry for a 74 K4.

I see two standard lengths available
K2-K6 = 22 13/16"
K7-K8 = 23 13/16"

-Are the K7-K8 bikes an inch taller than the K2-K6?

-Other than length are the K2-K6 and K7-K8 tubes compatible with each other and each others fork legs?

-Will using K2-K6 22 13/16" fork legs in my K7-K8 lower legs achieve the proper ride height for a K4? .
