Front wheel bearing replacement order 77 CB550F?

I think I know this just want to verfity.  Do you install the front wheel bearing on the screw in retainer side first and seat it all the way down in the hub, then install the spacer and the other floating wheel bearing just until to touches?

If you do it the other way around you would not get the retainer back in where it was. There was a post about this a couple days ago but it was on the rear
