What is the correct technique?

400f Job - When replacing the Oil control orifice valve and it's Oring and the cylinder stud dowel and rubber gasket/oring.
Do you put the orings in first then the components into them or do you place the orings on the orifice valve and on the dowel and then
push them into place.

Read the workshop manual, and if it does not say, replace in reverse order of taking it apart.
