Help identifying a bike tank

So I've looked all over and can't for the life of me identify what type of bike this tank is for.  Any sagely wizards out there have any insight as to what it could possible go to?

I am guessing. A bit wildly at Suzuki..
 Never seen that rear mount on a Honda tank.

That's kind of what I was thinking.  Closest I could find was a GT something-or-other.  But couldn't find that paint style anywhere.  And it's supposed to be brand new/ NOS.

Kinda bummed I can't figure this puzzle of a tank out!

Petcock reminds me of a 350f.  Shape reminds me of a cl 450, cap dogs  reminds me of a tall filler on  '68 cl 450, but it had a medallion badge with a circle indention  around it.

Going by the overhead flickr picture it looks like a respray to me. The silver stripes in front of the filler look not right and overall finish isn't as smooth as I would expect. Photos can lie though.

A respray is possible I suppose.  Looks pretty clean to me though but I'm no expert.  This is one of a handful of tanks I purchased as NOS.  Most the others were early CBs but this one stood out and made me scratch my head.  I would have assumed I could at least match the sticker on the top concerning the "brake fluid" in contact with plastics but I didn't have any luck with that either!

That's what I thought too!  But it appears those all have a seam on the top.  At least the ones that were close.  Starting to wonder if it's some lesser known Japanese cycle... not sure if any other than imports use emblem attachments like that.

Yeah, I thought the same but it could be smaller than it appears.  I took a look at this video and looks like the same warning sticker on top of the tank and proportions appear accurate: 1975 Suzuki GT185

Such a long time since I heard that sound. We used to call my mates bike the laughing 185. Brings me back.   :)
