$148,100.00.  The asking price on mine should be above that by June or July.

Could be that the kind of person who can spend $148k isn't buying a bunch of junk on ebay. This isn't an average auction...not sure feedback numbers are relevant.

Not sure why I was expecting something different, but the ending was rather anticlimactic.

Hey Larry - here's a similar 1969 model that if you sell your house you could afford....

Didn't think the $148,100 bid would take. Thought for sure the last 5 seconds or so the bid would jump to $150,000 or more.

Thought it would go higher

Me too, while the price it sold for is nothing to laugh at I thought It would get closer to the 200,000 mark.

So now we know there were rare  "pre-production" models with 26mm carbs, so what does that make the model shown in this 1969 article with single-cable PD style "32mm carbs"?

Brewsky..I have a Cycle Guide mag from March of '69 with the test of the 750. The photos show those carbs you're talking about.

Interesting......the Cycle Guide article linked in the forum from an unspecified month in 69 shows the 4-cable "regular" edition carb rack?

Very interesting...the mag that I have shows the master cylinder to be the one like on Vic's prototype. I'll see if I can scan those photos and put 'em here.

Somebody, please save the auction pics to the site in some gallery for historical reference.
