Greetings
I have a good old pretty much all original bike with 7000 miles on it. The pipes/mufflers look new because the previous owner had them replaced ten years or so ago at his local Honda shop. They are marked HMCB750 SR HM341
Are these genuine NOS, or just good reproduction?

AFAIK, the repro versions did not show up until 2008. So, those are likely Honda pipes!

Has anyone else here seen repros (or counterfeit) HM341 pipes before 2008?

I'm no expert, but look at the end of each muffler on the inner wall
or thereabouts, for a stamped message concerning noise specifications. If it's there, they're nick named "paragraph pipes",
and they should be Genuine Honda replacements, I was told.
SR=superior right IR=inferior right SL=superior left IL=Inferior right. The 340 number is the model code, for the 750K2-K6, that the part fits. There could of course, be exceptions. I noticed on mine anyway, that the rear diffusers in the ends of each muffler, are BOLTED
in and the bolts are tacked/peened.

Very nice Steve. You the original owner or just purchased? Give a the down low on the history. She looks like a great original runner. Paint looks decent too. Is she ready to ride or are you working on it?

Yes, very nice. Flake apricot red. Wish I still had mine that was that color, but it became part of a trade deal for a station wagon. Had to buy this one later tho

DH...good eyes there...I missed the 6 chrome smackers back there. Would not mind seeing a pic of that too. I think Steve has himself the same syndrome as the rest of us ... the more than one syndrome.

I absolutely agree john, but that judge .in my avatar aint mine.
I always wanted one, but couldn't afford it. Had to settle for Grand Prix(s)
of the '71/2 era. I love REAL PONTIACS. I'd bet you'd want yours back

Thanks Guys for the kind words about my bikes. I mainly restore CA95's and CB160's. I buy cast off CB160 parts from the café racer guys and restore them back to stock. My current CB160 project is a Black and Silver one and I have an all white one up next after that. There is a shop just down the road that does industrial coatings and they give me a good deal on sandblasting and powder coating so that makes things real easy for me.
I've only had the big bikes since I retired last fall. I wanted the 750 back in high school but Pop nixed that idea real quick. He didn't think I needed anything faster than my two year old SL100. I am the second owner. I got the original paperwork with it including the sales contract. I've replaced the original tires and tubes, the brake caliper, and the hideous ape hangers the original owner installed on it back when it was pretty new. It runs and rides great and I can't wait for some better weather. Mine is the twin to DH's, thanks for the pic.
The CBX is a new old stock bike. When I bought it, it hadn't been started since it left the factory. After pre lubing and a thorough going over I fired her up for the first time the other day and to me it is a pretty impressive beast. I'll post a better picture of it.

Here is a pic of the CBX. A friend of mine is celebrating the 50th anniversary this April of the Honda Dealership he founded. He and his staff are going to have a band and food and a show. I am going to ride the CBX there and it will be the first time it has ever been on the road and when I arrive it will have racked up it's first 9 or 10 miles.

I knew you had a nice collection of bikes. I didn't know you were into 750's too. I've not brought up the big bikes on our other forum because I don't want to disrespect our wonderfully humble CA95's. I've even felt a little cheesy talking too much about my CB160's over there.

I have heard in the past about dealers having NOS bikes stored away for years in their original crates. Just never saw/believed it til now.

I was very lucky. I had been looking for quite a while for what I consider the two greatest motorcycles ever built. When I finally found my 750 I mentioned to the broker I was also looking for a nice low mile pro link CBX. Most folks don't even know what one is but this time lightning struck, he was not only familiar with the CBX, he knew about this one, and he thought there was a chance the owner might be ready to turn loose of it.

From what I've read the pro links are not as fast as the 79/80 models which are more valuable but they can be a little squirrelly.
