CB 750 conrod orientation.
« on: March 02, 2014, 05:31:12 AM »
Can anyone advise the connecting rod orientation to the crankshaft, I have a" Clymer" workshop manual, however no mention is made of the procedure. There is a small raised section cast on one side of the big end bearing caps and in one of the pictures in the manual it appears to face inwards towards the drive sprockets, is this perhaps the same for all four? There are identifying marks from the factory stencilled onto the rod and bearing cap, do these perhaps have to face towards the front of the engine? Please assist.

Norman - you should re-post this Topic in the Bikes section when you seek technical advice. The Gallery is for pictures and may not get reviewed by those you wish to see this.

I have no clue on your answer, but saw this and though I'd offer some guidance.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S.
