Does anyone know the brand and name of the original tires for the 1972 CB750 K2?

I don't know what the K2 actually left the factory with but the owner's manual recommends two brands of tires.  The first is Bridgestone; Super Speed 21 F2 & Super Speed 21 R2.  The second is Dunlop; F6 & K87 Mark II.

When I first got my K0 back around '74 or '75, I replaced the tires. The originals (I think they were anyway) were also Continentals. Ribbed front, block tread rear.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

I have been trying for quite some time to verify exactly what brand and style of tire my bike left the factory with.  I know that they are no longer made... what ever style they were, but if I could find a similar tread pattern, I'd buy them regardless of the cost.  I'd love to find someone still running the original tires.

Not entirely sure for a K2, but for my K6, I think the closest modern day equivalent is the Continental RB2 (front) and a K112 (ribbed rear).  While they look period correct, there are probably better tires for back road carving.   8)   I am changing them to Metzeler Lasertecs.

Another "retro" set is the Dunlop K70 if you want to go for that British look.

Avon Speedmaster (front) and Avon Universal 410 (rear) also has a vintage look.

There may be others with a retro pattern (Cheng Shin  ::)), but the old school tires are getting harder to find.

Cheers!

Those are the same tires recommended for my K6.  So they must have been the same - at least for K2-K6.
