Now that my bike is pretty much done ( 4 Now) , I think I am gonna lean towards making it
as light as possibile. I need to weigh it now and see how much I have seved thus far, then see what else I can remove.

I know this has been asked b4 but what does a CB750 weight in at in stock form "wet" ?

That's pretty impressive!  Were you running helium in the tires? ;)

No, it was suspended from the workshop roof, just hovering over the scales. ;D ;D ;D ;D

When an expert bike mechanic/builder/engineer/scientist or whatever the proper nomenclature is these days builds a CR750 with the express design intent to make it as light as possible and gets it 4 pounds below 400, I stand by my earlier statement that a mere mortal is unlikely to make the same target.  I have NO experience to back up my statement - it was purely a gut feel, and it turns out I was pretty darn right that it's near impossible to make a 750 weigh less than 400 pounds.

So piss on my parade or in my cornflakes all you like  ;D

Tintin, I am a much lesser mere mortal than you are and it dose weigh what it weighs and it could have been lighter had Chris requested it. :P :P :P
So if you call me a nomenclature again I will send Chris round to piss on your cornflakes, he's a very big guy :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

You can also have them turned down but don't over do it.
Have just one disc, save the weight of the other. ;)

Well I weighed my racer project today, and I'm happy to report that it's well under 300 pounds! I can hardly wait until I get the engine in it, man that thing is gonna fly! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I don't have any experience with this modification but it looks like it will save some weight.

Hey tahnks for the link mate, I just scored another ARD magneto for another project bike (1166cc "K1 Kruiser") while my endurance racer project will be running a dead-loss system for lighting, the "Kruiser" will see more commuting duties, so will need an alternator. Cheers, Terry. ;D
