Sealing studs on F2 engine

You can follow my progress by questions I ask :)

It is about the 4 studs on F2 engine that are open to atmosphere and water from the road.

CycleX sleeves the head, thats one way to do it, but I would prefer some easier solution. Like sealing the stud on head gasket level before I put the head on?

The bottom line is I dont want water standing in the stud holes of cylinders.

Ideas, solutions anybody?

I'll be very interested in the solutions you get. Noticed the same thing on the 500 motor I tore down. Wondered about SS studs, or some blue LocTite all the way up. Was going to ask the machine shop when I dropped off the cases for some work for their input. Also thought about SS head nuts to prevent any rot there too as some of these were eroded from sitting.

Anybody?

I am thinking sealing the stud with Hondabond pushed in the stud hole of the cylinder block.  Tried it yesterday, the Hondabond has to be on the bottom only to be sure when you tighten the head on it does not spread under the head gasket.

Also will look into drilling a drain hole in the head right as close to the bottom surface as possible.

My plan for the 78 750F engines I have is to see that they are garage kept (prevent water from collecting to begin with) and to ride them often enough to "burn off" any moisture that might accumulate. The only real problem I see with the design is when the bike is left outside for extended, non-running periods of time.

While I had jugs off, I cleaned the rust from those studs, smeared them with vacuum grease and installed shrink tubing to keep them happier than original.

I think with the hondabond seal it will be enough, just curious what others done.
