Dad bought it, back in around 2007 or so, he thought he wanted to get back to working on motorcycles again. Funny thing is, he came to me, bnefore he bought this and said he needed something smallish, with an electric starter and not TOO heavy. Well, I had a Honda CB400F that needed going through. So, I showed it to him and he said that would work. So, I loaded it up and delivered it to him about a week later. Now, the next time I was down to see him, he takes me out to the garage to show me what he'd done. And there sat that CB750A. I asked him where that came from? He told me that one of my Uncles told him about it and what a deal it was and he bought it. Now, I am thinking abouit his words to me ("Something light, smallish and electric starter"). Well, the 750A Does have an electric starter! BUT, it ain't smallish and it Ain't light! Anyway, after just a short time, he realized that he just wasn't up to the task of working on a motorcycle (he was in his late 70's or early 80's). So, anyway, I hope to be able to see what I can do with this one. The engine turns good and has compression, so we will see just what kind of a deal he got on this one. I will most likely be bending someone's ear, quite often, when I get started on it. Did ya hear that, Sam? In the possible near future, I'll be bugging you and whoever, about info and input on this 750A. Pictures, soon as I can get to my Buddy's place and get some. All of my bikes, my cars and trucks (except for the Charger, my '92 Dakota and the Wife's '05 Town & Country, are at 2 very close friend's places. Gotta get things lined out, so I can get em all home.
