Yeah, only 8'. Probably shows I was treating with kid gloves. There's not a whole lot to report on it this week. I've been working on the clutch of my cl100. I fixed that and the gear shifter on her.
I did receive a good size box of parts from fellow member "alacrity". Cables, sprocket, shocks, and more carb boots and clamps than I could use. Props to him for helping me out.
I took the back wheel off and discovered some bad though. Two of the original bolts coming out of the hub (that the sprocket is attached to) had been replaced by smaller through-bolts. Over time these wore out the holes larger and eccentrically. I always think of fixing before replacing so the best I could come up with was to machine the holes a bit larger and put a helicoil in there. I don't have access to a milling machine though. Always in need of the next tool.
One bit of luck though. While taking an angle grinder to the very rusty seat pan I discovered a documents compartment underneath it- and the frickin' title was in there! Score. Otherwise, I have had a hell of a time getting bolts and such off the motor. I'm going to pull the motor this weekend and start breaking into it. I think it will be easier to handle when it's out of the frame.
