AS to the upper shock mount, if done right (this isn't) I like it. I have a one off RB (Robert Bane) Racing pipe. Handmade as a Honda Endurance racebike replica. The mount is a flat tab bent in a dbl L at the shock mount. ITs then a piece of 1/4 inch steel rod traveling perfectly in line with the shock rod to the muffler tailpiece, where it is once again welded to a flat tab which is bolted to the tailpiece. Virtually invisible from the side, only slightly so from the front or rear.
