carby identification please
« on: February 13, 2014, 06:15:36 PM »
hi all - just wondering whether anyone knows where a

654 carby comes off - a 750... ???

I have a bank of 654s and wonder whether they are interchangeable - are all the internals the same?

Standard 750 should have a 657 carby bank, right?

Mr Google and his mates aren't helping.

thanks a lot
:)

7fifty4 ; Not sure what your "654 carby's" are off of. This page http://www.hondachopper.com/garage/carb_specs/carb_specs.html goes from 1969-1983 and it doesn't list "654" . It lists 657A and 657B. You might try some cycle parts (carbs) sites to see if numbers match on things like carb rebuild kits. Just a thought.   ...cougar...

I am not sure what year they are - I found 'em at a wrecker and bought them as they are - I was hoping to use some spare parts - especially one body - but wanted to make sure they are compatible.
And yes, I am trolling the inter webs for any reference for such a carby
The inlet manifold came with this bank and they are about 20mm (3/4") short than the ones on my K2 or K6 - I was guessing they might come off a F1 ??  or F2? may be 1977 1978 models? K7?
