74 750 signal configuration (1 or 2 wires??)
« on: February 26, 2014, 08:27:51 PM »
Hello everybody i have another dumb question about my 74 750. The PO removed the signals and all the associated wiring. While shopping for OEM/reproduction signals I have noticed there are 1 wire single filament and 2 wire dual filament signals. Im not sure what the original signal configuration was. im curious before i place any orders for them

-What years use the smaller signals?
-What is the configuration for the signals front and back (number of filaments or wires)
-Obviously one filament is for the flasher signal if using dual filaments whats the other one for? Running light, brake light?

Thanks again

They went to the bigger lights on the 75 model. The 75 has dual filament in front (running light & turn). The rear is just turn. Not 100% sure if pre 75' was the same. A wiring diagram will show it.

orange wire for left ts, orange/white for left running light.   light blue wire for rt. ts, light blue/white for rt running light.  If you have those wires in your headlight shell then you had the larger signals.  Rear signals were single filament only...Larry
