Sam,

Not going through anything. Life is great. Just feel that since I am not riding the CB anymore it is a shame to let it sit in the garage. I am having too much fun touring on the KTM.

Met this awesome guy today and gave the Hot Rod a new home! Trailering it home as we speak....

Need to do some maintenance to take it out of a long hibernation, but shouldn’t take much till she’s screaming on the pavement again

Well done Joe!! I saw the head of that bike get the treatment from MRieck and was lucky enough to meet Art when he came up to Boston -very cool guy indeed. You got a great bike looking forward to seeing a ride report!

Will Do Andy...I have a few things to do before a real ride report.

Mainly tires and figure out a fueling issue...sounds like starvation. I’m going to get it on the remote fuel tank when I get home to see if it’s a clogged petcock.

Probably will pull the carbs for a quick inspection and clean.

The tank had a por-15 liner sometime in its past so hopefully the liner isn’t breaking down and gumming up the works.

Likely going to upgrade the disks up front and change handlebars while I’m doing tires. Never was much for the club mans but we’ll see after a few rides.

The whole engine got the treatment.

A lot of polishing work went into that engine.....a lot of internal work too! Those CR carbs can be a pain. Personally I'd switch to RS's.

Thanks Mike...I’m sure I’ll have a few questions for you to make sure I’m educated on a few points. Out of curiosity...what is it that makes you prefer the RS’s over CR’s?

As you can see, the bike is in a new set of hands. My wish came true that a forum member would want the bike. I know that it will be appreciated and cared for in the manner it deserves. I only met CBJoe and his wife for a short time but I am sure if we lived in the same town we would be fast friends. I thought maybe I would have seller's remorse but the bike needs to be in Joe's garage. Joe's going to be grinning when he feels that engine open-up on its top end. Hopefully, in the near future, I'll make it to a gathering if you don't mind me showing up on my KTM 1190 Adventure

Art is best to comment, but If I remember correctly it was dyno'd somewhere around 93hp. I plan to take up to our local Ducati Dealer to Dyno it after all the maintenance is done and it's shaken out.

Yeah it was about 90 if I remember correctly. Those carbs need to be throughly cleaned especially the fast idle (choke) circuit.

I'll be real interested in their results. Mine was so pitiful, but I've finally got some tips to look for courtesy Mike and Ken and CycleX. Man what a nice guy!
