Got the valve spring remover tool in and I replaced the guide seals..

Pic of the battery box I made with most of the electronics installed

Battery box after swingarm was installed.

Doing final assembly now, then I just have to wire it up!

Tactical that looks awesome!!!

It is really great to see someone take the time to build a bobber the way they should rather than rattle canning the whole thing and plain doing a crappy job.

How does it ride?
Do you feel like your knees and up at your chin (I just ask cause I love the seat height but I am pretty tall and I don't think it would work for me)?
Also I can't remember if you put forward controls on it or just left them at the stock position? (I would love pics of the controls if you did the forward option as that is something I am toying with on my build to get some more room.)

.

thanks for the compliments everyone!  It rides and runs great. Starts up first time Everytime and accelerates smoothly, no hesitation at all.  I'm not sure what kind of mileage to expect but it's only getting about 30 mpg right now and I have some cam chain slap when coming off the throttle that I'm trying to figure out. I have a buddy who's going to let me borrow a tool to sync the carbs so maybe that will help the mpg? I didn't go with fwd controls b/c with the wide 4 cyl I feel like I would really have to stick my legs out far to avoid burning them. I'm 5'10 and it feels comfortable to me. I definitely sit low ( seat is 24" off the ground) but my knees and legs are at about a 90 degree angle when I'm sitting on it.

I've got about 8 inches on you so that might be a bit to low for me at least without repositioned controls. Thanks for the answers though I love the build definitely one of my favorites!

30 is low. I got 45-50 from my 550 and you should get something similar from your bike.

Damn dude, this thing seriously came out great.

And my '80 650 is getting between 45 and 48 mpg, something's off on your end.

I have two tanks through it now. I didn't go to math school but it works out to roughly 40 mpg so I'm happy with that. ( Larger 42 slow jet, 120 main and raised the needles 1.75mm to richen it at 1/2. - 3/4 throttle )

Thanks for the compliments!

It is. I just cut the back off and welded on a lip to hold the lens. Then I tacked the bulb holder inside, drilled a hole for the wires and three holes in the bottom for white light to shine on the plate below. Finished it up by epoxying clear plastic over those holes to keep crap out.
