Ok guys, we have a new member in Tony Benson, goes by the user name teebee67.
Tony is a mate of mine here in the UK (just around the corner) and he is going racing with a CR750.
Tony bought the street/track day bike off Tony (Cobra) and is in the process of turning it into a full on race bike.
When he gets round to posting, please give him a warm welcome.

He is quite an accomplished racer Brent with many many wins on a Honda CB350K4.

I'm not sure Dennis, he's had a few different ones but I'm sure he'll tell when he manages to be able to post.
He's tried a couple of times but he's having problems posting, I might have to go see what he's doing wrong but I've had PMs from lots of members over the years that have had trouble posting for the first time.

Right, seems to be working now. Thanks for the intro Sam. I bought the CR750 replica from Tony who had built it to parade (he had made a real nice job of it) so he had left the engine standard. I am now in the process of tuning it for racing. I have an X Cycle 849cc big bore kit with CX-3 cam and have sent them a crank for lightening and balancing and fitting with Super Rods. I will have the head flowed locally and intend fitting race valves, springs and retainers (any advice here would be appreciated especially regarding oversize inlet valves - I intend running Keihin CR31 carbs). I will also fit race chains (cam and primary) but, short term, I am going to run standard tensioners. Kheihin CR31 and probably an Electrix World or IgniTech ignition will be added. That will have to do for starters as I am definately on a limited budget. Hoping to race it early this season but I think my 1st meeting in early April might be being optimistic. I still have my TAB Honda 350 K4 though (the head on it is a '69 by the way).

I'd go with a 34mm intake and have the seat/throat bored to .9 of the intake OD Tony. I assume it is a K head....you would need the 5mm conversion kit

The on shelf "spares" belong to the previous owner but like to keep a good stock myself.  ;)
