Valve adjuster screws, too far gone now?

I took these out of the F2 engine, are they too far gone?

Regrind or polish it out?

Those are done and will ruin the valve tips (if you have new valves). They are not that expensive.

I believe they are supposed to be lightly domed with hardened surface.

The tips need to be smooth like they are polished and have the same surface geometry.  Files and sand paper have a coarse surface to abrade what they rub against.  You don't want that going on inside your engine.
