Saddlebags, tank bags, or other bags
« on: September 09, 2006, 11:12:42 AM »
I'm using my 76 750k as transport to / from work and around.  I am in need of some kind of bag.  I have been unable to find bags speicific to the CB750 for that year.  Anyone else have any experience with saddlebags on this bike?  If so, I'd like to know what brand, etc.  I don't need any spectacular just functional and not too dorky.  I was thinking of leather saddlebags (throw over) but I don't wanna spend $$$ just to find it looks like hell or won't work.  Your thoughts please!  ...and if you've got pictures, I'd really like to see 'em.

Throwovers work best if you don't want to fuss about with racks and panniers.  They don't have to be leather either.  I had a set in the 70's that were just plastic and lasted for years.

A backpack works great and it travels with you.

I have a set of 'pleather' throw-over saddlebags that I got from JC Whitney for not too much. I had them on the back of my 550 for several years, and never had a problem with them, nor had a problem with people tampering with them.
