Newbie: 1978 purple, sidecar fitted & my youngest son loves it (he's autistic and he believes his brother is better in a dodgem than I am on a bike!)

Just bought a 77 CB750A basket case which is mostly there. Going to make it into a trike for my father as he has health issues that keep him from riding on 2 wheels. Going to be modded to bring the HP up a little. It's going to be a unique build and all the stuff that I take off will end up going for sale.
We're in Stamford, NY.

bought my first bike, which is a '78 CB750A.  $200. Not quite a basket case, but a non-runner.  Mechanicals are all there, seem in good shape and intact.  lots of parts in a box.  Sportster/peanut tank installed with a seat pan.

I figure wrench and learn over the upcoming winter, run this one after my saftey course, add a standard transmission CB750 in the summertime.

almost fifty years old and riding has always been on my bucket list.  Divorced the old lady I shoulda left 5 years ago, and now it's time.

Glad I found this site!

Hey guys, recently bought a '77 CB750A in pretty darn good condition. I'm 27 and this is only my 2nd bike, first was a bobbed '97 Kawasaki Vulcan. I've fallen in love with old CB's lately. Not much of a mechanic, but definitely trying to get better and learn as much as I can from anyone willing to share knowledge.

I'm from Cambridge, NY and bought a '76a over the summer.  Has 5k original miles but I can't seem to get it to turn over.  I've removed the plugs and filled with marvels mystery oil.  I think that it may be something else, any ideas?

Try to turn the crank gently clockwise and counterclockwise. Does it move in either direction?

I'm near Lancaster, Pa. I bought my 76 750A around 2003. It has a little under 19k miles on it. I fixed some leaks, did some brake work, changed fork seals and cleaned the carbs. I haven't run it in a year or two and the carbs need overhauling before I try. I just need a motivation jump start. I have kept it registered and insured and the battery on a tender all this time.

In Huntsville, AL. Just purchased 2 identical 1977 hondamatics, hoping to get one of them as near mint stock condition as possible. Any advice is appreciated as this is my first time owning an antique bike.

I finally had time to check/try turning over the bike without tearing it apart.  Marvels Mystery has sat in each cylinder since the end of Oct.  Now moving on to carburetors!

Hi, I'm in Normandy, France. I have a 1977 Automatic, imported from USA by PO. Non-standad colour and low bars. No other mods. Used fairly regularly here since I brought it over in 2003.

Currently off the road (am riding my CB77 Superhawk instead), because of air leaks at the carb. manifolds.

Just bought an 83 CM450A yesterday.  All stock, runs great, turn signals aren't working correctly and speedometer bounces around.  Should be east fixes.

Well, I guess I'll add mine, and make my first post while I'm at it.

I recently purchased a '76 CB750A barn find, from which I have removed the busted up Windjammer, trunk, and hard saddlebags, along with a rusty crash bar and a very rotten aftermarket seat. Looks like I'll be needing some hard to find parts, but for $225 with strong compression, I couldn't resist.

Edited to add a photo of the bike on the trip home.
