Topic: New Clamps for Carb Boots & Airbox

Hi everyone, looking for a tip on clamps for the boots & airbox for my CB750 K7. Are the clamps for the boots to the carbs the same I'll need for those coming from the air box "boots" (not sure if these are called boots as well)?

I ordered new clamps (size 45-49mm) from Parts N More, but the clamps they sent me are over 52 mm when fully closed & won't work.

I found a thread that recommended Carpy's clamps (http://www.cb750cafe.com/products-page/hardware-clamps/stainless-steel-hose-clamps/), but not sure if these will work on my K7 as well.

45-49 is correct they sent you the wrong ones. I got mine from DSS they have great stuff and good service. I have a 78 so they are the same. I'm sure carpys is good as well.

Also I would not use the worm drive clamps from the auto parts store. The notches dig in and cut the rubber over time. Did you know you can get new carb insulator 1-4 now? You can get the clamps from Honda too.

That is what the rubber boot between the carb and engine is called where the clamps go. 8,9,10,11.

This is the place that has the insulator set (carb holders) and they have the correct clamps too. I bought a set to try out they look exactly the same now to see how the rubber compound holds up? Honda still has # 1&3 the last time I checked. 77-78 750K are the same.

Nice. Fortunately my insulators are in decent shape. But I did have to buy new boots for the air box, which I got from vintagecb750.com.
