Chasing some F2 Standard Piston kits
« on: March 24, 2014, 10:06:34 PM »

Hi guys..

Just tore down my F2 and it looks good, if tired...
In fact .. it looks like it has never been "molested".

Bores look and measure good .. But pistons look a little worn and are JUST below recommended specs.

Have trawled and emailed for days trying to find some new pistons and rings.

There is no shortage of suppliers for over bore kits   :)

Does anybody know where I can get some new standard piston kits..

TIA
Peter

Ebay is the most likely place. NOS F parts can be hard to find. They don't make new standard bore pistons AFAIK. I don't even think rings can be had. A member here had a group buy a few years ago for special order made rings. Good luck!

Yep .. Ebayed ..... There is one guy selling a single piston kit .. and I do not think he has any more.

DSS seems to have rings ...

Any suppliers with some under the dust at the back of the shelf.  ?

CMS in the Netherlands has the complete NOS set in standard size.

I stand corrected. When did these become available?

B, I ordered my sets back in early Feb, but they had been on the site a while before that.
Its the only place besides ebay I could find std rings.

Chaps.

Many tx for that.

The rings look good and CMS does indeed have the pistons.  Sadly they also have a very
good economy, reflected in the exchange rate. Basically doubles the price when converted to
Aussie dollars.  OUCH.

There must be somebody in the States with some.

Tx again..

Sorry guys ... another newb query.

My engine number is    CB750E2615468.  I am hoping that this is above the 2551568 number
that seems to be quoted on parts sites etc.

Cheers
Peter

Swain Tech can coat the skirts and get .002., .003 build up. Look at their website.
