Check out what just became available for the 2014 CB1100.....

http://www.samurider.com/?p=19957

 :o :o :o :o

Thats how Honda should have made it!

Im sure Honda would have sold ten times more of these new CB1100's if they looked that good.

You ask the question on a day known for jokes...
but,  since he didn't answer it isn't an April fool's day joke.

Hopefully, his mother's estate is settled.  Without proper wills and if you have to deal with probate it can be expensive and drawn out process as well as painful dealing with all the memories of the belongings as you try to deal with them.

Without moving we accumulate a lot of things over the years. Having moved across the country and similar things I understand these challenges.

Speaking of, looks like they are hard to sell:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-CB-/251898730721?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3aa65598e1&item=251898730721

yes, 2013 model, but seems like the CB fade is gone for good.

Ouch, that would hurt.  At this rate, the classic CB's value will be higher than a new one!

What other bike has been a similar failure for Honda in recent history?
Was it that the power delivery of the motor made it so sedate like that it wasn't appealing?
The looks are very appealing to me and the $8k sticker is much more sensible.  But, they are losing lots of money on them to sell them at that price I would guess. The DN01 was a very slow mover.
What are sales doing in other markets for the bike?

I seriously doubt that they would have sold ten times more. But, I am probably wrong (!!LOL often happens they tell me now that I have crossed over into Old Timer label) and would be shocked at how few have sold.

So, guys...here's your chance to buy the underappreciated model that in 20 years everyone will clamor after and those obscure custom patts to dress it up will be the Yoshi and RC Engineering and Shoei and other names that the CB750 had...

Placed my order for a new 2014 CB1100DLX today! Hopefully arrives end of March early April. Can hardly wait, I feel like a kid in a candy store. It will nicely compliment my K6!

hey Damfino, how does it ride, handle?
thanks, Mark

I don't think he rides it much.  Only have seen it out of the garage one time in two years!

Mick in Darwin bought one here when they were first released and was pretty impressed with it, but the problem I think is that there are lots of bikes to choose from in that price bracket, and younger riders are more interested in the current crop of naked streetbikes from other manufacturers, which are a bit more sportsbike oriented. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

This Cycle World test loved it, the handling is apparently a little sub-par compared to a modern sportsbike with single-shock rear suspension, but still more than capable. Interestingly they compare the engine to the old Yamaha FJ1200. I own a 1987 Yamaha FJ1200 and I absolutely love it, so if the Honda is as much fun to ride, I reckon it'd be a great "all rounder" bike. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Mandatory $467 setup fee and $130 doc fee on top of the sale price, the dealer can kiss my ass.
