Supposedly, one of the guys on the cb1100 forum was told by his dealer that his bike is in their warehouse and he should be able to pick it up this coming Thursday...

Okay, I'm really gonna be AWOL for awhile. The eagle has landed...Gentlemen, (and I use that term lightly around here) introducing VIN #0241 in all her Candy Glory Red glory...

Weather was too crappy today to get much more in than the 14 mile ride to a friends house then home. But at one point, I figured I was doing around 50 mph and looked down at the speedo to see I was actually doing 75!  :o Didn't feel like 75! Not by 1976 CB750 standards! (BTW, You can spot my poor, neglected, 750 baby, in the background of the third picture down.  :'() Will weigh in with more details once I get more into it. First impression?  8) AWESOME!  8) Everyone at the dealership was out watching me leave on the first 2014 they sold! Talk about pressure!  :P

On the "don't see many out and about", I've never seen one other than at the dealership, where they say the model has been a really tough sell, only sold a couple since the model was released

My local dealership only got one to sell of the first gen last year. It was still for sale during the early winter when I stopped in. Will have to pop in again and see what's happening and shoot the bull with the manager a little bit again, his family has owned the place for a very long time.

Hey dudes! The 1100 is doing great! It is a fantastic bike and I wish there was a CB1100 section here on the forum for it. Over on the CB1100 forums there's a lot of current and former SOHC4 owners and I know a few of them are members here as well. This forum still rocks the best though! The CB1100 is a wonderful companion to the older CB's. You'll only know for sure if you get your hands on one though. I'm just about to my first oil change at 600 miles and I'd be past that if it hadn't been such a busy year so far.

See 'ya around!
