I need to report that I installed the new rectifier and voltage regulator I purchased from Oregon Motorcycle.  I got some great help from Tony at OM.  The new parts went in real easily, I just wish the bolts on the voltage regulator were a little easier to use.  The bike started right up and the battery seems to be charging...a little more riding will really tell the tale.  Also I need to check the setting on the regulator.

The bolts are large screw head bolts that require a 6mm Allen wrench. Getting that wrench in a tight spot and applying enough torque was tough. Wish the bolts were a standard 10mm.  Otherwise the parts and advice was great.

Cant you use a standard hex head 6mm bolt?

Well it is installed now and working.  I have a lot planned for this winter to improve the bike now that it is road worthy.  I will use different bolts when I dive in deeper.  Right now I want to ride the bike and keep checking it out while the weather is still good.
