Tweakin's finished K1 GT AKA the Golden Turd please :)

I take it this is a nomination, if it is, you need to tell Tige about it.

Sam. ;)

Alright fellas, I accept the nomination.  Most of you know how I feel about contests and bike shows but I am honored and humbled that you think my "turd" is worthy of BOTM.

It has been slow the past few months in BOTM and there is so much talent on this forum it would not be right to decline the nomination.  This forum is part of my family and I can appreciate each and every member with different taste and build skill levels.  We all have something to contribute, so let's get some more nominations!

For you Tweakin we will make an exception and call it Bike of Turd Month...

(what month is March?  t_rd    Sound like it might be fitting for the GT to be nominated for March instead of April, so you missed your window...  Guess we just vote on it in the T_rd month of the Julian calendar

This nominee will probably make others shy about going up against the GT...it has a strong following already and would be tough to beat.

Maybe we should talk Andy into providing guidance for a BoTM calendar to celebrate the BoTM winners. I might not get as many orders as Andy's current calendars but some would probably like it to have another version available suitable for work.

Unless there is a recent build I haven't seen yet, I'd say tweakin stands alone for this month!
Perhaps we could re nominate some bikes that were a near miss from previous months?

I was thinking since I have never let a bike I have built run for BOTM, maybe I could put up the three I have built to run against each other.

1977 cb750, 915
1978 cb750, Monkey trainer
1971 cb750 K1 GT

I only put this out there as an option since its been slow on completed builds.
just a thought, I really don't care either way.

keep in mind any bike that did not win previously can be re-nominated after a 6 month period. so go back and scan the old BOTM threads and you can always pick one again. it does not have to be a currently fresh build. hell, it doesn't even have to be a "build" as long as it's a members bike!

I think in a month or two there will be a few cb400s to nominate though. lots of projects going on! get nominating folks!

Was Ron's Pheadrus 2 nominated/BOTM? That'd make a good contest, near stock vs super standard....

Ron has politely declined for this month, but is open for future nominations once he has the bike running. This might just be Tige's month, and a good one at that :)
