Thanks for all the good words fellas! Sorry it to me so ling to respond, haven't visited this thread in awhile.
Don't know if the ceramic coating on the exhaust will change things but the CLs were known to be able to give you a burn even with the heat shields I am told. Maybe that was by foolhardy riders who tried riding without proper protective gear. Having stepped into my C70 exhaust after a long ride before and receiving a bad burn through the jeans on my shin I try to be careful around hot exhaust pipes.
Great job you did on the CL360, she will be great fun for you and your girls.
Does your wife ride? Might be difficult to pry her hands from the grips as light fun bikes are appealing for lots of women. You may be building her one of her own or another one for you...

The ceramic coating must help with the heat, because the heat shields don't get that hot at all. Wife doesn't ride nor does she have a desire to, I plan to keep it that way...
Just found this thread, tweakin'..nice to scroll through the whole process. As usual, your attention to detail is admirable. Great lookin' 360. I'm sure it's a blast to ride. Tell your dad, my compliments on the paint. The orange looks really nice.
Thanks Larry! My dad did all the prep and I sprayed, cleared and cut and buffed it in my garage. The paint job doesn't compare to the art work you lay down but it turned out pretty goog for this budget build. You going to make Vashon this year? I am still up in the air, but it would be good to catch up.
That thing looks killer!
And was done in about 4 months...crazyness!
Next challenge...complete a bike build in < 4 months :-P
Thanks!
I saw you picked up a 350, your going to love it. So much fun to put around on,
Great Paint Job ! Would you describe the process ? Clear coat, etc. ?
Excellent color !
It is all about the prep work IMO. I am lucky because my dad used to paint cars and still enjoys doing the prep. I used automotive touch up for paint. They will put any auto color into a spray can.

NVR2OLD does amazing paint work for a reasonable price, I highly recommend him. He has done amazing work on both my 750's and would have gotten this one also but I had a strict budget and wanted to take on the challenge of paint.
