Your old man is tops in my books!

Think of it as valedictorian as first place, and salutorian as second place.

funny ;D

Any of you who have started from scratch on one of these bikes. "complete tear down" and entered a show & shine will have to agree with the humor here.  There were 3 other categories I could have parked the bike at.  Antique, Classic, and Vintage.
Harleys parked at all 3 of them. I know better. Take em where you can get em I say.

Oh yeah, my buddy won 1st for his (hard tail custom).
I give him a hard time saying he got to start with clean parts out of a bag on his build, I had to take mine all a part, fix, repair, clean, polish and paint every thing while desperately searching Ebay for replacement parts!..and then put it all back together..

Oh well, we ride together ;D

seaweb11, This just kills me when they ask what class I want to show in. Because a bike like Home Wrecker (our latest cafe racer)which has taken no awards and many other cafe racers here which are awesome - there just is no classification for them. They are not stockers, they not classics (at least in the show sense), and they are not really customs as most of these "customs" are some level of v-twin Harley.

Yeah, it's not fair, the way it's set up now. Maybe, if more participants started showing up more regularly with a variety of bike styles, (or at least a number of cafe bikes) there might be an effort to set up more classes. Hopefully, with the gas prices being unstable, the car shows will set up better classifications. It would help if more of the vintage bikes, besides H-Ds showed up. Maybe "Home Wrecker" has started some of them to think, or maybe not. Here's hoping.

We could turn next years "Wings and Wheels" blues festival in Reedsburg, WI into a major Honda ride? Imagine the look on the faces of the Harley guys when a pack of few hundred import bikes pulls into the fair grounds almost all at once. I am working on trying to get a few hundred cafe racers to show there at once.

They do have beer, food, and music. I could also make it a "Grand Opening" for Anubis Cycle..?
