Parts for a CR750 rear hub
« on: March 05, 2014, 07:16:28 am »
It is probably not easy, but I need a set of brake shoes and the cam-lifters for this hub. Does anyone have these parts for sale, or know if there is some brake shoes who fit?
Thanks, Jan

I will try. Maybee the diameter fits, but I guess they are smaller (width) than CR750 shoes? Maybee someone can tell me the width on them?

Do you have the original shoes?  A lot of guys over here just have new lining material applied to worn out shoes, and the surface re-arked to fit the drum.

front GT 750, Yamaha TZ....if he's got the shoes they can be relined Sam.  That said if they're magnesium, they may be too brittle by now, and should be crack tested.  This is the one most use / recommend over here - http://www.phoenixfriction.ca/  The other is Vintage Brakes.

Jan, If this helps, I've just measured a CB92 front set up which I think is the same as the CB72/77 set.
Lining width is 30mm, shoe width at the pivot location is 20mm, distance between pivot centers is 165mm.
Overall diameter of shoes in closed position is 200mm at a guess allowing for mine having wear.
