Very nice looking stuff. No prices listed on the site, what is the damage for a CB rotor with cast iron braking surface?

Are these full floaters or semi? In the AHRMA class I am racing I cannot have anything that wiggles/rattles when you push on it.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

Is all of this through Frog, or Beringer in LA?

Yes, this is through Philippe at Beringer USA (who also runs Frog Specialties).  I will get you part numbers when I can. I don't know if there is a part number for the 550 bracket since that is the NEW part they are working on with MY bike.

These are full floating discs. The quality is amazing.  Way better than Brembo.  The machining on the hard parts (calipers, MC, clutch perch, brackets, rotor carriers) is gorgeous.

The quality is amazing.  Way better than Brembo.

Sounds expensive, but will be great to have a plug and play option with stock forks.

True.  Pricey, premium stuff. One of the best brake manufacturers in the world.

My buddy Jay made me some new stainless steel braided lines for my new Beringer brake set up.

Here are some additional photos of the rotors, calipers, master cylinder:

Looks really beautiful, Don. Unfortunately, they installed your axle clamp on backwards. The gap needs to be oriented to the rear  :-\
good catch, thatll ruin those new brakes quick

Good for them, and you Don. Wow someone actually offering an improved brake package for 40 yr old bikes.  ;D  I take it those are opposed piston calipers?  Oh man I like those disc rotors, any idea of the weight?

People will be happy with this package since the majority use an improper master cylinder for the single piston old stock calipers.

If anyone wants to see the prototype Beringer brakes set up for the CB550, my bike is on display (alongside Mike "Woolie" Woolaway's AgoTT MV Agusta) at the Long Beach IMS this weekend.

I'd like to see a set on my 550 please.  >:(

Right now, the caliper brackets on my bike are prototypes and not production pieces.  Beringer's HQ just acquired a CB550 to have one on-hand where they make the parts to improve fitment of the brackets.

Hideous bike, Don.  I can't imagine you riding something so ugly.

Just let me know when I should come pick it up and bring it home with me to allow you to avoid the embarrassment of riding such an ugly ride around your talented friends.

Looks great Don and I bet they work better than they look.

I think the brake system just upped the value of the bike.  Yes, it's now a 2-finger brake system.

Just pulled the trigger on a Hindle 4-2-1 stainless pipe.  Kemp at Ripple Rock Racers is running a great deal and the US dollar is still strong.  I can't wait to hear it purr.

don, does it "need" the dual discs with that brake? would one not be strong enough and save weight?

You have the suspension and the braking system...did I miss the performance part of the build for the motor?
What is planned to address the motive power?

I think with all these upgrades he is looking to increase his insurance rates... definitely needs to increase the coverage.

Does it "need" them? No. Beringer wanted to prototype the brackets for a dual rotor set-up so who was I to argue?

LOL! The upgrade was motivated by Beringer wanting to develop a kit for CB550's since they already have the parts for CB750's.  I wanted to improve the brakes -- the dual rotor stock brakes are okay, but nothing close to modern, and they start to fade when you push them hard on long canyon rides.
