No conversion per se, just buy 530 chain and sprockets, really that easy. You can get standard non o-ring, not a big deal and is a bit cheaper. O-ring requires less greasing intervals but its not some miracle worker that results in never having to grease the chain again. If you buy the chain and sprockets paired it is usually cheaper. Buy the highest tensile strength chain you can get, it 'stretches' less. Also 102 links is min links on most 750's, get 17t front and 48t rear sprockets
The misalignment comes from people getting good deals on 77-78 rear wheels or engines and just putting them in to early model 69-76. Vice versa is same idea. The 77-78 have a different offset, nothing an offset sprocket couldn't fix anyway
