HI
« on: March 09, 2014, 02:11:48 PM »
Hello everyone, my name is Heather and I'm in Luton.
My friend recommended this site to me as I'm just starting to restore a CB750 K6.
To cut a long story short a friend was scrapping it and I managed to get there before the scrapman and its been sat in the garage for the last 2 years.
Its all complete and i have had it running but it has done 140,000 miles, clatters and rattles and now looks to be suffering some form of leprosy as bits are dropping off  ;D . No idea where to start really, it appears to have a few rather major problems so hoping I will be able to find out if it is even repairable but my dream is to get her cleaned up and back on the road hopefully ;)

Welcome...that's some high mileage!  If the engine has never been rebuilt, it is close to a site record!  ...but sounds like it is gonna need it.  Parts are available and knowledge and help is here, but these are complex and expensive engines and many find it cheaper and easier to replace, as there were many of these bikes made and sold.
If it works good, it looks good...

Hi there, many thanks for your reply,  no the engine has never been rebuilt, my friend owned the bike since 1978 and ran it on a very tight budget, it got the bare minimum it needed but thats all  :( I think its about time it got some TLC
