Splitting crankcase CB750 K1 help
« on: June 13, 2014, 08:13:44 PM »
Please pic attached.

Both the shop manual and Hondaman book say 8 6mm bolts in top half to remove.

Mine has 10?  It has 3 under the engine number plate and other drawings show 1?

I assume they just all come out but don't want internals falling out that don't need to.

Can anyone help?

You have to remove all of them on top. There are no external bolts that hold internals in place per se. Internals become loose when you split the cases. Flip the motor upside down and remove all the bolts except the one that holds the large round plug in place. You do not have to remove the oil pan. Remove the bottom case. The transmission counter shaft, shift forks, oil pump, etc. remain in the bottom case.

Best idea is to get a shop manual if you don't have one.
