The 'outer' finned area of that brake drum,doesn't it have a clear plastic coating from the factory ? I'd re-coat it after what you did. I'd just try using the hand cleaner w/ a toothbrush if it was me...,it looks good.      sorry for the threadjack Thamuz

The finish was good enough for me but not perfect like a mirror. I think it may have had the clear from the factory but it had its day as can be seen by the first picture. I got a bit impatient due to the rest of the bike being like the first picture & just wanting to finish it off. Your right, i didn't clear coat it, but figured that I'll just polish it up once every few years.

I sanded through the clear and polished mine as well. (Before all my spoke issues.) Its a pain in the ass to keep them shiny, especially the rear one.
