Doesnt get simpler than this diagram

The guy who helped me with my sheet metal work knows his stuff, just hard to squeeze infront of the bikes he has queued up in his shop. Looks like ill need more than a coupla 6-packs to lure him back into my garage

Calj that is a cleeeeaaan wiring job. Is that the split sheathing that wraps around the wires, or do you have to feed the wires through the length of the sheathing?

P.abrera, the bike is looking great! Love the seat and good job on the modifications. Flows very nicely now.

Decided i wanted to keep my engine clean with an air/oil separator before my crank case filter. In a flash of brilliant backyard engineering i realized i positioned my inlet half an inch from the drain. on the upside i now have a killer industrial crack pipe

...Back to the drawing board for Mark II

thanks. Air/Oil separator: fancy name for a piece stainless tube stuffed with steel wool then sealed on both ends

its goin in the rear triangle. ill get a bracket goin tomorow. Plan to hang it from the bottom of my electronics tray next to the airbox.  I hear you get too much oily mist on the engine with just a filter straight off the rocker breather.

That can be the case. I initially thought I had another valve colver leak but it was mist collecting from the breather filter.

My stock F-headers were in poor shape and werent gona work with my rearsets. Finding a ready-made 4-1 system locally was a tall order. So i had a local shop bend me a 4-1 with a 12" reverse-cone shorty in SS. Fab work's dun except for a hanger. Dont plan to chrome, just sumthing between a brushed/lightly polished finish.

We tried something different and ribbed the endpipe as a play off the ribbed upholstery.

Are those rings on the reverse cone simply decorative or functional?  Are they on the inside surface of the cone, too?  If so, I wonder if they have any effect on gas flow.

Theyre bead-rolled on the pipe. I felt they were primarily decorative, but the pipemaker says its beneficial for better back pressure for the short system i asked for. Its a packed and baffled can though so i dont know how much it really affects exhaust flow. Could be all bro-science R&D [emoji1 i like that its a bit different and not like every other can out there.

Completely assembled shakedown roll around the block was succesful but needs a bunch of tweaking ang tuning yet started and ran fine off kick and electric start in the garage but cylinder 1 went cold after a run up and down the street.  Got hard to start after that...was just too darn hot outdoors to investigate further.  More tuning next session.

Bike has a good overall look IMHO.  In other words, it looks like a nice cohesive whole, and not just a random assembly of styles and parts like you see on some bikes.
