Hi Simon shows how much I know about the f2 regulations what hp figure do u think is realistic for the Honda in this class ? Do you still have a tz ? We have a few race bikes in our collection made up of a 1969 Tr2 350 yam/ a 1983 Tz 250 k / a 1990 Tz 250A reverse cylinder /a 1993 Tz 250 d / a Rs 1993 250 Honda / a 1999 Rs 250 on which Chris Palmer won the 250 class at the isle of man ft 2003 and the F2 Honda. My dad also has a few nice classics including a velocette thruxton / Vincent comet / velocett kss 350. / velocette venom / velocette viper clubman / Norton 88 dominator and finally a genuine 1966 Honda monkey bike I think you could say my dad loves his bikes. We ran supersport 600 bikes during the ninetys taking in all the Irish road races and the tt. .Sam hopefully bill might still have some info on Fosters what did they do? Some of the other guys were looking more spec on the Honda so here we go Marzocchi 38mm forks / Borrani rims / De-Carbon rear shock / Lockheed brake front and rear and Tommaselli levers  / Keihin cr 31 tickler carbs. I will post more photos when I figure out how to but I am on Facebook and there are photos there @ Tanya Keith heslip.

hi keith , not sure about power but my tz's in those days made around 73- 74 hp [ i can do a bit better now after 35 years with them ! ]  and 1 would guess it had 8-10 hp more than the honda and also weighed a fair bit less . so i recon mid 60's . it was a good handling bike though and bud did and still does know his way around the island .
yes still have a few tz's knocking around [ have a pair of harris 350's in the bedroom ! ]  my main interest is rotax powered 250's , have quite a few of those and a few other bits and pieces . had a bit of a clear out recently but have about 16 race bikes left .

Pretty cool Simon, that's the kind of hoarding I like.  8)

There is lots about the Honda I find trick indeed. We can get a fairly close idea of what the power might be, but I'm most interested in the weight. Nice to look at for sure.

not sure why i have any at all nowadays brent , logically i know i cant ride them because of my arm but am still having great difficulty parting with them .
moving from a big house to a much smaller place at the moment so may have to lose a couple more , have won championships on all the ones i have left
so choosing will be hard . on the other hand it is a bungalow so a couple of bedrooms could easily become home to some 1970's and 80's mobile works of art !

Plenty of room here Simon if you would like for them to be stored in a nice sunny and dry atmosphere ! Much better than wet and damp blighty. Wouldn't mind giving them a billet, I'd only ask that I could take them for a spin now and then up in Ledenon.

considering that I got to low 60's with a home brewed tunning job and rene was knocking on 70 with his, (both 500 motors), I would expect an HRC 600 kitted thing to be more into mid 70's .....

it depends what was in the hrc kit i suppose and if it worked [ not all did ] . bud won the tt f2 title in 77 , 78 , and 79, in 1980 the 350 lc came out and that was that for the honda . i do remember the bike but i always thought he had won the races because of his superior riding rather than his superior bike  [ although if he asks me i will deny having said that ! ] .
interesting bike though .
