As usual, I called my local store and he said that they have no flange nuts in stock.
Same old, same old with them. EVERYTHING HAS to be ordered!

I checked the availability of those too. The nearest store to me is over a couple of hundred miles away. As usual. They seem to stock NOTHING!

I will buy 100 or 200 of them if there is demand here. And send 20 with each order.
I already have a running order going for more SS Allan head bolts, etc to replenish my stock anyway and
they have a minimum order amount that I need to spend to get the GOOD prices.
I added up most of my receipts from last year and almost had a stroke!
Over $1,300.00 just for the SS bits! Some of my bikes do bling a bit now though.  ;D

BTW, I send bike parts to Canada and Australia/New Zealand all of the time. Those chaps get bent
by their local parts houses and I would want to find someone like ME to find parts from too.  ;)
The worst part about sending parts to those chaps is no insurance and no tracking numbers!
So far, in the past 5-6 years, all parts have arrived safely.

Are you saying that you can also supply ss bolt sets for the covers? Would be good to gey as one and maybe save on postage.

Also there was one thing I got cheap and maybe cheaper here. It the bolt used to remove the generator rotor, $2.40 a bargain.

I will need the sizes (typically 6mm X1.00 pitch) by length and quantities of each needed. plus with or without SS flat washers or SS lock washers.
Some od lengths like 65mm are much more expensive than just getting 70mm and cutting to 65. I am doing just that to one of my projects tomorrow.

Grade 10 and plated IIRC. I posted my findings a page ago and this site is not so easy for me to maneuver though.
They might be plain. I will call tomorrow. Any preference?

M8 x 1.25 nut is a standard nut possible to find almost everywhere.

Almost same size as HONDA std head nut but harder quality (10.9) able to withstand around +40% torque than 8.8 grade

EDIT: I asked the seller about the size.
The hex head is 13mm. The total width with flange is 17mm. The height is 8mm.


For the higher strong not with same hard grade of 10.9. Search for DIN6331 which is the standard for that nut.

I was asking about the grade,  to see if it was as least as strong as a stock one.
Heat treated nuts are often not plated. I am thinking the plating, may not help the torque readings.

I'll update later when I have installed the higher nuts of grade 10.9.  Installation of ign switch saving relays have taken my time.
I'll abuse my CB750-k6 frame with a saw this weekend,  frame mod kit.
Then possible to open valve cover taking things off, replace nuts one by one without harming the head gasket.
I have to measure the cam before as reference of the procedure and tools used so it will come back in as I want.
