CB750F2 Headlight?
« on: March 17, 2014, 01:13:51 AM »
Is this the correct headlight for the F2? Will need new light as this sealed unit is blown. Any suggestions for a replacement?

This is Australian Specs and should still available from Honda. The North American unit does not have parking light. The European unit does, but is not sealed.
The part number for yours is 33120-375-003 superseded by 33120-323-003.

At the moment I haven't investigated why the light is blown. I would prefer to replace it with a replaceable bulb type. Cheaper to replace a bulb than the whole headlight.

Well, it happens. Light bulbs blow. And your headlight doesn't look exactly mint. The Australian unit is rather inexpensive. And from the look of the photo, I imagine that the reflector does not look that great either and replacement is not a bad choice anyhow even if it was a non-sealed unit. If you want the identical setup as an OEM non-sealed unit, get the European part. Aside from that, there are lots of aftermarket units available at a much lower price--which seems to be your main concern. Again, go for the European specs when buying an aftermarket unit if you want to keep your parking light.
A sealed unit lasts me for many, many years and miles. And the reflector seems to hold up a lot better than on a non-sealed unit.
