Vote for Bike of the Month- April 2014.
« on: March 16, 2014, 04:39:51 PM »
This is the first time this has happened, one Owner, two Bikes, I've got a feeling that Tweaky will be the winner. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

And here's another first, just to prove that I REALLY don't have an issue with BLACK RIMS, you can all have 2 (yes two) votes this month. You don't have to use them both if you don't want, I know I won't. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

He will post his own pictures shortly.

Now that the time has hit to post the pics up for BOTM I feel a bit weird having both my bikes in the running against one another.  I feel extremely honored that the great bike enthusiast on the forum feel my builds are worthy of BOTM.  Although I don't really like having my builds judged, I don't mind by this group I consider family.  We are all very fortunate to have such a wonderful forum that serves as a resource and idea well for our builds, or just to help maintain are vintage scoots.

It will be interesting to see which bike receives the most votes, cafe or modified stocker.

It's more just a joke now, I don't REALLY hate them but on some they look real cheap.
Anyway, I'm not sure what Tweaky does for a living but he should take up photography, AWESOME pictures Tige, are some of these with the new camera ?

Thanks Sam, my day job is a sales manager.  Not much more room in the garage so I decided to pick up some upgraded photo equipment rather than a new build....for now.  I am new at taking photos but I really like it.  Kind of like building a bike.  You have to start with the vision in your head and try to duplicate it.  With photography the satisfaction is instant and you don't have to chase down small oil leaks or do shake down runs.  ::)

Tige,

I am in awe of all of your builds.  The GT is a thing of beauty, but the brute force of the 915 and all of the one step beyond performance goodies puts it over the top for me.  I would love to go for a ride with you Seattle guys and try to keep up on my 836.

These types of builds inspire the rest of us mortals.  BRAVO!

If not, I can't get my second vote on.

Perhaps I should have worded it a bit different.

You could have voted for both bikes but you only have one vote.

If you voted for one, you can't go back and vote for the other, this stops people voting for the same bike twice.

Even though the candy gold k1 is glorifying, I can't resist the tastiness of the 915 f2.

I am sure It's a hardcore performer and built for those cornering orgasms. A lot of the parts chosen are the same parts and upgrades I did on my k8 as well.

Both are fantastic and inspiring newbies and old cats here... Bravo

The 915 to me, just has a personality all its own... it's not just a "build", .......kind of hard to describe.  Some bikes are just parts put together, a few actually seem to come alive and  communicate with you.

Ok, now off to vote ;D.

It will be interesting to see which bike receives the most votes, cafe or modified stocker.

Honestly, most cafe'd bikes just don't hang together for me - the whole is frequently a lot less than than the sum of the trick parts or the work. This bike is the exception - really fantastic.

OTOH, the K1 is still largely original-looking and that appeals to me a great deal as well.

You made a ton of great decisions on both builds and the bikes are fantastic, inspiring. Great work.
