Use K&L 4-Gauge Carb Synchronizer on Twin CB350?
« on: May 22, 2014, 12:53:04 PM »
Hi All - This is probably a silly question but I am not finding an answer anywhere. It involves a twin, but is still 4-cylinder related in a way. Can I use my K&L 4-gauge carb synchronizer to sync the two carbs on a CB350 twin? Whaddaya do with the extra two gauges/connections? Since the main goal is to just get the two carbs the same regardless of numbers, I thought I might still be able to use the 4-gauge unit. Thoughts?

You can get away with just using a single vaccuum unit as well...  or use one of these or one of these....  http://www.mofoco.com/item/EMPI_5746_Dual_Carburetor_Sync_Adjusting_Tool_Vw_Carb/422/c64

each gauge operates individually so you can use any two of the four gauges....

LOL, all kidding a side you can just pick any of the 4 gauges and hook 2 up.  But there is no vacuum ports on a CB350.  Are we talking about syncing the idle? Because the throttle cable also need to pull both carbs at the same time too.  So the idle adjustment and cable both play a role and can throw the carbs out of sync.

Go old school and just use a rubber tube and put it in the carb inlet and put the other end to your ear.  Im not joking...
