550 pistons in a 500
« on: September 11, 2006, 06:46:37 PM »
I want to try my hand at a rebuild of my cb500 engine, and I have pistons from a '76 550 on hand. can I install them after I bore the cylinders on the 500 jugs?

I'm running the same kit.  You can get the entire kit for $100 from Classic Cycle Parts.  CB500 555cc big bore kit it's called.  Pistons, rings, pins, headgasket.
