Who's the old goat in the orange shirt?!
Got a brief text right before I got home. The 750 was back out. The 140 did not get repeated so it's a 137.998 record. The fairing then came off and another record at 130.xxx. The 250 Tiger Cub was having electrical issues.
A stock 75 K was within 1mph of the 98.xxx production record. Another member. San Antonio. I'm terrible with names but at least he's Irish! LOL
Another stocker kinda beater (sorry to the rider of my description) with the Drouin supercharger had an open record to go against. He had only gotten to 98 and change due to mechanical/tuning issues but that class was open also so he got a record.
A 849 kitted mid-year K was not tuned properly either but he also got a slow record close to 100.
Our Japanese record err ex record holder, Mr Honda, went to 1000 and set another record in his new class but his speed of 130.xxx was slower than both of Dennis' little 849 records.
Records are there for the picking boys IF you take a bike that's prepared and ready. Let's see, a turbo, a decent 900/1000, a properly tuned stocker, a modified 750 or less and run fuel class. If you want Dennis' records you're gonna have to do some SERIOUS work.
It seems the salt takes away about 15% of your speed due to it's slippery nature. Scottly said something about Dennis using 85%. Looks like he was using 100%.
Bill, I spent 2 friggen hours with 2 different Indian guys without success after it quit sending pix yesterday and the damn phone is almost new. My thoughts are the 16gb drive filled up. I have a 32gb card too and it has 25+ remaining. WTF?! Guess I'll go to the phone store for help by someone that my old ears can understand. Phone is probably good but it's operator is questionable...
OK now that those 700 miles are done I have to drive 150 more to work before dawn. I'll be back online after work tomorrow.
