1978 "Not So Basketcase" CB750 Find.
« on: March 31, 2014, 09:04:35 PM »
Someone on here said when it rains, it pours, right? Well, after looking local for 4 months, and driving over 2 hours to get a basketcase, a complete (and cheap) 750 comes up for sale 15 miles away. Text the guy and he says that the only issues are a leaky fuel tank (but he has another one) and a fuse keeps blowing (MORE MY ability level). So, had several people interested in my 750 either for parts or to rebuild and I am hoping my 300 investment pays into 500 to cover the cost of this better start of a bike for me.

Sold my basketcase project for 525. Bought this bike (Delivered for 525). I think everybody will do ok on this deal!

Plan for this bike - New Tank - Straight Bars - jockey shift of somekind - lowering blocks.

It also just needs a good clean and some general TLC. Key lights everything up on it. I've just gotta figure out what (if anything) is blowing the fuse!

Tomorrow to the DMV to see about a title.
